• Congressional Virtual Service Academy Fair

    Saturday, October 16 10:00am-11:30am via zoom

    This virtual event is open to all high school students across Pennsylvania's 2nd and 3rd congressional districts who are interested in learning more about or applying for admission to any of the following United States Service Academies:

    • The United States Military Academy (West Point)
    • The United States Naval Academy (Annapolis)
    • The United States Air Force Academy
    • The United States Coast Guard Academy
    • The United States Merchant Marine Academy

    Representatives from each of these institutions will be joining us to talk about their respective academies, offer information and answer questions you may have about academy life, admissions and anything else you may want to know.

    Staff from Congressman Boyle, Congresswoman Scanlon, and Congressman Evan's offices will also be available to answer questions about the process of applying for a nomination from your member of Congress to any of the service academies.

    The deadline to apply for a nomination through Congressman Meehan's office is October 14, 2016, and the application can be found on his website. Each student who turns in a completed nomination package before the deadline will be able to interview with the nomination board for the academy or academies of their choice. If a student is unsure which district they reside in, please visit www.house.gov to enter their zip code and address. 
    United States Military Academy - Summer Leaders Experience.   Between  junior and senior year in high school, students interested in West Point are encouraged to attend the Summer Leaders Experience (SLE).  This two week long program is full of informative and fun activities which introduce the attendees to cadet life. Although attending SLE is NOT required for admission, it does provide rising seniors with a better understanding of the academic and leadership opportunities West Point has to offer.  For more information visit usma.edu and click on Summer Programs.

    United States Marine Corps NROTC Scholarship -
    Applications are currently being accepted for the NROTC Scholarship, which is available to any high school senior with an excellent academic record.  This $180,000 scholarship may be applied at the following universities in Pennsylvania:
