WSSD Recognized in the DCIU Sharing Talent and Recognizing Service Program
At the Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) on June 1, 2022, several Strath Haven HS students, along with Dr. Wagner Marseille, WSSD superintendent, and Dr. Ashwina Mosakowski, assistant director of curriculum and education, were recognized in the STARS (Sharing Talent and Recognizing Service) program. They received certificates of appreciation for their commitment to advancing the DCIU's mission and to making a real impact in their schools and communities. Congratulations to Anjali Robinson-Leary, Colin Woodland, Annie Tolson, Naila Sweeting and Aissata Kone. These WSSD representatives were nominated by the DCIU’s Teaching and Learning team for their consistent and dedicated efforts over the last fifteen months, including their planning of and participation in the very successful Student Forum Symposium held on May 18.
STARS is DCIU’s informal recognition program which recognizes those who go the extra mile in serving staff, partners, children, families, and communities. They receive their awards at a DCIU board meeting, allowing the board members to see firsthand the quality, depth and breadth of the talent in our educational community. The DCIU Board consists of one elected school board member from each of the fifteen public school districts in our county. Board members are always excited to see and are very proud of students from their district doing wonderful work. Congratulations to everyone who was recognized throughout Delaware County schools!
