The Board of Directors for the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District reviewed and approved the Health and Safety Plan on June 14, 2021.
Please note the following updates. The complete plan can be viewed here.
Universal and correct wearing of masks:
CDC and the PA Department of Health guidance provide for individuals who are vaccinated not to wear masks. As of June 28, 2021, the District will not require masking of individuals. The District will continue to support all individuals who prefer to wear a mask and encourages those individuals who have not been vaccinated to wear a mask.
Modifying facilities to allow for phvsical distancing (e.g., use of cohorts/podding):
Pennsylvania lifted the Order for physical distancing and occupancy limits on May 31, 2021. With the lifting of the Order, all school buildings and offices will not require specific social distancing requirements.
School buildings and offices will allow for full occupancy with no alterations or restrictions.
Buses will operate at full capacity.
The District will consider any additional recommendations from the CDC or the Chester County Health Department for additional mitigation strategies when these recommendations are available.
