Second in the State!

Congratulations to the Strath Haven HS boys varsity soccer season for their second place finish in the PIAA District 1 Class AAA finals! The team traveled to Hersheypark Stadium on Friday, November 16th to take on West Allegheny for the championship game. On a very chilly night, West Allegheny got the better of Haven, winning 4-0.

It was a tough way to end the playoff run, to miss a state championship title. But the final defeat was not indicative of how successful this team's season was. After finishing fifth in the Central League, they won game after game, clinching the district title, and winning many thrilling games in the state championship playoffs. To get as far as they did was truly remarkable, and the whole community caught soccer fever as we followed along on a joyous ride.

Well done to Coach Ryan O'Neill, assistant coach Tim Styer, and to the players who gave their all, all season long. Let's do it again next year!
