About your teacher: I am thrilled and honored to serve as the 6th Grade Spanish teacher here at Strath Haven Middle School. This is my eighth year in the classroom and my third year at Strath Haven. Prior to coming to Strath Haven I proudly served in high need schools throughout the City of Philadelphia. I entered the classroom as a 2010 Teach for America Corps Member, and have worked in the North Philadelphia, Cobbs Creek / Kingsessing, and Strawberry Mansion sections of Philadelphia.
I graduated from the University of Vermont with dual Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Studies and Spanish Language. I minored in Political Science and was also an NCAA Division One Student Athlete during my four years at UVM. I studied abroad in Granada, Spain during the summer before my junior year and was able to train with the University of Granada Men's and Women's Swimming team throughout my study abroad experience. I received my Master's of Science in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
My passions outside of the classroom include yoga, running, gardening, traveling, cooking, and reading.
