    Parents, Students & Friends,
Welcome to Mrs. Knox's fourth grade class!  Our classroom is located on the 3rd floor of SRS in Room 305.   Interested in knowing a little more about the teacher?   Read the information below.
I received my Bachelor's Degree  in Elementary Education from Cheyney University.  I graduated from Temple University graduate school with a M.Ed. in Educational Administration.  In addition to Elementary Education, I also have certifications in Special Education and Reading.  I've taught in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District for 29 years.
I am married and have two very happy, active children.  Our son Chase plays drums and saxophone.  He now plays drums for 2 of our church's youth choirs.  He enjoys writing, art, playing basketball, baseball, soccer and most recently designing and painting custom designed sneakers.  Our daughter Christian, our future doctor, plays clarinet, loves horseback riding, art, singing and dancing.  She enjoys riding horses competitively.
I REALLY love teaching!  Very similar to parenting, teaching is the ultimate opportunity to make a positive impact on a child's life experience.  I LOVE that challenge!
The most notable lesson I've learned during my many years as an educator, is the necessity of TEAMWORK.  A student's true measure of success is determined by the relationship and cooperative spirit established between the STUDENT, the PARENTS, and the TEACHER(S).  Each year I work very hard to develop and nurture this important relationship.  Our children are far too important, not to afford them every opportunity to work to the very best of their abilities...my measure of TRUE SUCCESS.
This school year will be full of fun, exciting, and challenging learning opportunities.  This school year could very well be the best ever!
"Treat people as if they were what they ought to be,
and you help them to become what they are capable of being."
