• Strath Haven High School is pleased to announce that, through our efforts last year, we have achieved designation as a No Place for Hate high school by the Philadelphia Regional Chapter of the Anti-Defamation League.  In pursuit of this goal, a committee of students, community members, faculty, and administration met last year to identify ways that we as a school community could eradicate intolerance between and among all constituents.

Our grades 6-12 workshop on cyberbullying presented by Dr. Justin Patchin was the first of several activities planned by the committee in order to work towards our shared goal of making Strath Haven No Place for Hate.  Student leaders of the group painted a mural in the second floor stairwell and surveyed the student body and made presentations about the group’s goals last winter.  Our annual Black History assemblies were held in early February, and students from a number of clubs and leadership groups attended the first SHHS Summit on School Climate last May.

The group of students and staff will continue to meet this year as a club, with the focus of building on last year’s successes and planning this year’s events.
