Teachers and staff are currently creating a list and beginning to bundle materials for students for the upcoming school year. The bundle would include items like Math workbooks, manipulatives, handwriting books etc. The pick-up of these materials is likely to occur the week of August 24th and be for students in the both Cohort and Online Academy. New Student Walk Through
Originally, there were plans to hold a new student “walk through” for those new to the elementary schools. As a result of the change to the online platform for start of the school year, we are looking to reschedule this opportunity for a date to be determined in September. This includes kindergarten and all new students/families to our elementary schools. The principals will provide details via eblast once a date has been finalized. (8/13)
Special Education Connection
All teaching staff, including our Learning Support teachers, will return on Monday, August 24. At that time Special Education Case Managers will begin reaching out to families to discuss placement considerations. We look forward to working with you and your children this year. (8/13)
Teacher Assignment/Online Schedule
The plan is that teacher assignments and other Back to School Information will be released during the week of August 24th. The reason for the delay is the re-enrollment process for the Elementary Online Academy (EOA). The enrollment of students in the EOA will directly impact our staffing decisions and consequently teacher assignments. Thank you for your patience as we work through this process.
The exact times for the online scheduling template are being finalized and will be distributed as soon as possible. Some individual schedules involving related services may include updates during the first 1-2 weeks of school. (8/13)
