Wallingford-Swarthmore Kindergarten Registration for 2025-26 is open.  

To be eligible for kindergarten admission in September 2025, children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2025.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Students must be registered by Friday, February 28 2025 to be eligible for the lottery to select AM/PM sessions.

The district offers online registration. This can be accessed at www.wssd.org/departments/registration.  Questions concerning online registration should be directed to Derrick L. Clements at dclements@wssd.org.  

If you are unable to register online, please call the Educational Data and Registration Office at 610-892-3470 ext. 1304 to schedule an appointment to complete the registration online at the Administration Office.

The Administration and the Board of School Directors welcome you to the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District! We have prepared this information to assist you in registering your child for school.

Requirements to register a student in the District include:

  • Proof of residency within the District
  • Proof of child’s age
    • Five (5 years of age on or before September 1st of the school term for kindergarten)
    • Six (6 years of age on or before September 15th of the school term for 1st grade)
  • Immunizations required by law
  • Parent Registration Statement
  • Home Language Survey

Depending on your individual situation, additional documents may be needed. Please find detailed information about enrollment here. 

Kindergarten students MUST be five years of age on or before September 1st of the year starting.  There are no exceptions.
