Concepts: Cold Water, denser and falls at the Poles while Warm Water, less dense and heated at the equator by the sun, rises up and travels towards the poles where it is cooled and sinks (global conveyor belt)
Salt Water is the densest, and sinks down. Changes in the salt concentration at the equator and the poles cause density currents as well.
