    The Math in Focus program follows a Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract model to help the children have a greater understand of the content they are learning in each unit.  Division is a difficult concept, especially if a student's multiplication facts are not yet secure.  By using the pictorial and abstract models side by side, students can have a better understand of division as they move towards the abstract model solely.
