My name is Jennifer McGaffin and I have been teaching in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District since 2007. I feel very lucky to be able to work at Wallingford Elementary School where I once went to school myself, and I feel very blessed to be able to live here with my family.
My earlier teaching career took place in the city schools of Columbus, Ohio and the suburban schools of Farmington Hills, Michigan where I worked as a long-term substitute. Upon moving back to Wallingford, I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my children for 11 years before deciding it was time to head back to the classroom.
I have been married to my husband, Jim, for 28 years and we have two children. Our daughter, Alleigh, graduated from West Chester University, and our son, Connor, currently attends Carnegie Mellon University.
I enjoy going to the beach, traveling to new places, reading, going out to eat, shopping for a good bargain, taking walks, and spending time with family and friends.
I look forward to working with you and your child to make his/her last year at WES a memorable experience. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me via e-mail, a note, or a telephone call. I truly believe that keeping the lines of communication open is the key to a successful year. Thank you for all that you do to support your child’s learning!
