• Opening Doors ~ jdj
Every time you open a book, you open doors for your children by teaching them about their world.  You visit places you could never go to through books you read together.  You also open doors by sharing the values of honesty, loyalty, courage, and time shared with those who are special to us. You are also able to see the world through someone else's eyes and share perspectives and insights.
Reading: builds the desire to read
                                          gives an educational advantage
becomes part of your family heritage
                                          establishes bonds
develops the ability to read alone
You may have tangible wealth untold:
Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold.
Richer than I you can never be---
I had a Mother who read to me.
