FAQs: School Attendance and Zoom

  • Will any type of Zoom opportunity be available as last year?

  • If I keep my child home because my child is showing symptoms of COVID-19 can they Zoom?

  • How will work be submitted for students who attend via Zoom as permitted by the Class Attendance Guidelines?

Overview of Timelines

  • Isolation:

    • Regardless of vaccination status, if an individual tests positive, isolation is 10 days.
    • Day 1 of isolation begins with either the onset of symptoms OR a positive test results if no symptoms are present.

    Quarantine:

    • If fully vaccinated, NO quarantine is needed provided no symptoms present. However, the exposed individual must be masked while in school. Testing is required to exit quarantine early no sooner than day 5.
    • If not fully vaccinated, quarantine is needed for 10 days.
    • Date of exposure is day 0.

    After quarantine

    • Watch for symptoms until 14 days after exposure.
    • If you have symptoms, immediately self-isolate and contact your local public health authority or healthcare provider.
