The Wallingford-Swarthmore School District proudly announces the winners of the 2012-2013 Excellence in Service Award.

Effective June 5, 2013, King Field is closed due to construction. It is scheduled to reopen in late August 2013.
At its meeting on May 28, 2013, the Board of School Directors adopted its 2013-2014 Final General Fund Budget. For more information click the headline.
The School Board has approved a contract for installation of a turf surface on King Field, with installation scheduled to be completed for the 2013 Fall athletic season. While the base contract has been approved, fundraising continues for several items necessary to complete the installation. Thus far, the TeamUp4Turf fundraising campaign has raised and contributed $192,856.84 toward the project.
The district is forming a school community core advisory team that will play a key role in its strategic planning initiative. The initiative will unfold in the fall, but advisory team members are being recruited now. The goal of the initiative is to better prepare the district for looming financial and program decisions. The annual event involves students and staff from across WSSD in fundraising for cancer research and care.
The school district is launching a strategic planning initiative that aims to prepare our schools for the major financial challenges ahead and examine anew how to best prepare our students for the 21st Century.
