Strath Haven Middle School Building Project
In 1924, the children of rural Nether Providence Township were welcomed to a handsome Tudor school on Providence Road in Wallingford. For eighty-one years, four generations of students have entered the archway, learning and laughing together. Their songs still ring through the halls; their presence still felt against the stone walls and oak doors. Today, that handsome school holds the Strath Haven Middle School program and 836 young learners.
After eighty-one years of service to our school community, the middle school is in need of renewal, whether through renovation or reconstruction. The Board of School Directors, in order to make wise and informed decisions, has engaged Reynolds Construction Management Company as the owner's representative, and Agoos/Lavera as project architects. These firms will provide a variety of academic, economic, and structural scenarios for community discussion and Board deliberation.
