Parent/Student Portal Security and Accountability Parents/Guardians will create their own usernames and passwords. Parents/guardians of middle school and high school students may also create their children's usernames and passwords if they wish to do so. In the event that parents do not create usernames and passwords for their children in middle school or high school, the school will do so. These names and passwords will be distributed via letters. User names and passwords are confidential and should not be shared with others. Upon verification that a PSP username or password has been compromised, portal access through that account will be immediately disabled by the designated school personnel. The Parent/Student Portal service is not meant to replace direct communication between students, parents, teachers, and/or other school staff members. If a parent or guardian has questions about any of the information viewed via the portal, those questions should be discussed with the student and/or teacher. Technical Specifications The Parent/Student Portal will run successfully on Internet browsers including Internet Explorer, Safari, or Firefox. How often will grades for middle school and high school students be posted? Grades will be updated on a regular basis. Please note that on some occasions, the final grade listed via the portal may, as a result of extenuating circumstances, be different from the final grade printed on the report card. The grade which appears on the printed report card is the official grade. |
