Congratulations to teams who participated in post-season play.  Baseball, lacrosse, tennis and track and field all played games at the District and/or state play-off level.

Physicals will be given in the nurse's office on Wednesday, June 5th at 2:30.  Please bring the PIAA pre-participation physical from with you.  Cost , we believe, is $15.

Preseason for fall sports will begin on Monday, August 12, 2013.  Most sports will have meetings for students wishing to participate.  These meetings will take place during the last few weeks of school.  Information about these meetings will be shared during school day announcements.

                                                       Physicals

  • Student athletes who are intending to participate in their first sport of the school year must present a completed PIAA pre-participation physical form to the coach on the first day of try-outs. The form has been updated by PIAA. Only the updated form will be accepted by the Athletic Office.  The form requires a physician's report and signature, dated no earlier than June 1, 2013 and is valid for the 13-14 school year, unless the athlete suffers a serious illness or injury. Subsequent sports seasons require a recertification form signed by the athlete and a parent or guardian.

  • Student athletes who do not present the PIAA form on the first day of try-outs will be unable to participate in try-outs and/or practice.

Athletic Handbook

 

All student athletes and their parents/gauardians are responsible for having read the Athletic Handbook prior to participating in inter-scholastic sports at Strath Haven High School. A form will be given to athletes to be signed by the player and parent/guardian stating that they have read and agree to the statements made in the handbook. Every athlete should be given a hard copy of the handbook prior to the first time a student participates in an interscholastic sport at the high school.

Travel Release Form
 
 
The Travel Release is to be submitted to the Athletic Director at least 24 hours prior to the date of the athletic event. It is to be used in the event of extenuating circumstances, such as a doctor appointment or family emergency. The athlete is only permitted to leave with his/her parent. They may not travel with a teammate's parent or another athlete. The signed and approved form is to be given to the coach prior to boarding the bus. Coaches will not deal with these issues before, during, or after a game and are not permitted to give permission for athletes to leave with anyone without the form signed by the Athletic Director.
