Inclement Weather and Closing Information

  • As we approach the winter months, the district is committed to providing helpful, accessible, and timely information regarding our inclement weather protocols. During the year, there may be times when our district will need to close our schools or adjust their schedules. Through collaboration with our regional National Weather Service office; Departments of Safety & Security, Operations, and Transportation; and county and local officials, this decision will be made and communicated by our Superintendent of Schools.

During inclement weather protocols, there are a few possibilities:

    • Snow day - In the event of inclement weather, the district may declare a snow day. This determination will be made and sent out as early as possible.

    • 2-hour delay - In the event of inclement weather, schools may follow a 2-hour delay schedule. You can find the schedule for your school on this page.

    • Early dismissal - In the event of inclement weather during the school day, the district may implement an early dismissal schedule.

    • After-school activities - On snow days, after-school activities will be canceled. If weather conditions worsen during a regular school day, after-school activities may be canceled. In any case, families will be notified.
