All employees of the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District are eligible to participate in a 403(b) plan. To participate, the employee must choose an approved service provider and complete the District's Salary Reduction Agreement. Contributions are withheld from the employee's paycheck and are made via salary reduction (unless the employee elects the Roth 403(b), which is withheld after tax). Investment accounts, including 403(b) tax-deferred annuities and Roth 403(b)s, are subject to limitations regarding the amount of the employee contributions. (Please note that the District does not contribute to this plan.)
Those employees interested in enrolling in a 403(b) plan should contact the Human Resources Department at 610-892-3470 ext. 1406. The department provides a list of approved 403(b) service providers. Employees may contact any agent(s) of the approved service providers. The list of approved providers includes contact information for those agents who have been in direct contact with the District; these listed agents, however, may not be the only available contacts for a given provider.
