Welcome to room B309, our lovely (still) new room located in the renovated wing of Strath Haven Micdle School. My students meet here on a daily basis for a 12-week period until they move to another special area such as music.
Seventh Grade art students have already decorated their portfolios, where they will store their work until the end of the fine arts cycle. Currently, they are working on the photo-completion project. In this assignment, a student-selected photograph is divided and duplicated. This is a challenging project, but it comes with a promise of success. With my direction, seventh grade students are able to work above and beyond their initial expectations.
Every day, students should come prepared for class with a pencil. All other materials will be supplied here.
My grading system is very heavily weighted toward effort. It is my expectation that students come to class prepared to work and ready to give me their best effort during art period. With that effort, comes success!
Students who are unable to finish the assignment within the class time allotted, may arrange to come in after school to complete it. This will not result in a lower grade, however, all assignments must be completed.
I hope that your child's time in my classroom is happy and successful!
