"Mission Statement"srs
I come to school every day with a S.M.I.L.E. Set the stage for learning with a positive learning environment; Make every child feel special; Interact with and inform students, parents, and colleagues in creative ways; be a Life-Long Learner; and Exceed expectations with every opportunity to guarantee success. Smiles are contagious and can grow from within everyone.

"Who's the Boss?"
A concept I teach each of my students is that everyone has a boss. The best boss to have is yourself - a.k.a. "Boss #1" Everyone prefers to tell themselves what to do as opposed to others telling them what to do. If Boss #1 fails to do his/her job, then Boss #2 (parents at home & teacher at school) has to be in charge. The principal is Boss #3 when Boss #2 needs help.

This concept fits well with our four cornerstones of character education.
The Four Cornerstones of Character Education:
srs1. Manners  srs2. Self-Control
srs3. Kindness
  srs4. Courage
