• Visiting Strath Haven High School

Visitors are welcome at Strath Haven High School. Families considering a move into the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District are advised to make an appointment, through Ms. Donna Rucker at 610-892-3470 ext. 2105. Ms. Rucker will arrange a tour and meeting with a member of the administrative team.

All visitors must enter the high school through either the first floor (Brookhaven Road) or third floor  (Providence Road) main entrance. Upon entering the building all visitors must sign in at the respective welcome desk (one is located at each of the two main entrances). Upon signing in, each visitor will receive a visitor's badge, which must be worn for the duration of the visit. Visitor parking is available at both the Brookhaven Road and Providence Road entrances (click here for a map). If you would like further information about visiting the school, please call the Main Office at 610-892-3470 ext. 2109.

Our school goals focus on the following:
    1. Raising expectations and providing necessary support for even greater student achievement
    2. Enhancing our cafeteria space in order to make it a more welcoming and versatile space for student use
    3. Partnering with the community to address the needs of our academically and socially at-risk students

We are excited to announce that a recent issue of Money Magazine identified Wallingford as one of the top ten places to live in the nation. Along with the safety of the community and a commitment to open spaces, the quality of our schools was cited as a primary reason for this national recognition.

All Strath Haven students are required to complete four years of study in major subject areas. Two guidance counselors assist in course selection, college and career placement, and supporting students with a wide range of needs. A full-time psychologist and communications specialist coordinate the Student Assistance Program, which provides assistance for students at risk. In addition, Strath Haven maintains a Career Center that assists students in defining and attaining their post-secondary goals.
